"All business, no play." Can you believe some dude on the street hollered that at me as if it were a pick up line? What the hell? Seriously dude, you saw me from half a block away and that's the best you could come up with? COME ON!

Working on a mini make over for this blog. I haven't touched this layout in over two years so we'll see how far I get........

GGotW: Why did you start modeling?
SjC: I started modeling because a photographer at the festival M'era Luna asked me to take some shots with her and I had nothing else to do I had a shooting with her. It was so much fun, I hadn't thought about posing could be that interesting and funny! So after that I created my own sedcard on a website with some quite bad photos, but I did more shootings and time after time I really got great pictures of myself! I love that feeling when you hold the photos in your hand and you see that your hard work has paid off!

GGotW: How long have you been modeling?
SjC: I've been modeling for about two years now.

GGotW: Who have you shot with?
SjC: I had shootings with many different photographers like Katarina Hildebrandt, Tom Ahrens, Ingo Steinert but also with some more popular ones like Jens Burger and Michael Wittig!

GGotW: Do you prefer the gothic shoots or the high fashion?
SjC: I actually prefer the gothic shoots because they're more creative and more individual and you can also realize your own ideas. Most fashion shoots are strictly defined: You have to look this way, wear that outfit and pose like this. I think that's kind of boring after some time! Though, I sometimes have really interesting outfits during those shoots and I love them!

GGotW: What kind of hobbies do you have?
SjC: In my free time I love doing lots of creative things like writing short-stories or adding small self made details to my clothes. Right now I'm also traveling through Germany!

GGotW: As a writer, have you had much stuff published?
SjC: I've only had published a lot of stuff in our pupils' magazine Der Spargel (which nearly always wins the prize as Germany's best one) and in Gothic - Magazine for underground culture. I'm looking forward to finishing the work on my first book, but I think it'll take some more time...

GGotW: What are your plans, now that you are out of school?
SjC: My plans are to go on an acting show maybe in Cologne or Bochum. But before I'll travel for one year through Germany.

GGotW: In your acting, what kind of stuff have you done?
SjC: I have acted in small theater productions or as an extra in some series that are common in Germany like Die Schulermittler or Richter Alexander Hold, but unfortunately with no one famous yet.

GGotW: You're Traveling Germany now that you're out of school. Have you had any interesting adventures?
SjC: Nearly every journey is an adventure as the trains in Germany are normally not on time and there are always some problems. Too less seats, broken air conditioning / heating... And you always meet lots of interesting people! Last week I sat next to a guy who looked like an Indian just escaped from a picture book - weathered skin, an outfit made from leather and necklaces with teeth on them. I still don't know why he looked that way...

Garden View

Looking at these photos makes me miss Maui so much... I want to go back! I am wearing Rebecca Minkoff silk shorts, a knitted sweater, Chloe Sandals, and turquoise wooden bead earrings from the flea market.
Getting back into the swing of things slowly but surely...

Island in the Sun

I've been spending almost everyday in the sun and I love it! I never want summer to end...
Mango granola parfait... my breakfast pretty much every morning.
Poolside in a leopard Vix bikini and Super sunglasses
Wearing a hand-painted skirt from American Rag, American Apparel sash bandeau, Kate Spade straw bag, Givenchy sandals, antique necklace, and 60s lucite ring.
Happy Monday everyone!

H&M blazer and tank, Siwy shorts, Coach satchel, Converse sneakers, Karen Walker sunglasses

Went to Lake Tahoe last weekend for some much needed sun and relaxation. I forgot to take my camera out for most of the trip I was there but managed to snap these on the first day. I posted a few pictures from my phone on my Tumblr but nothing beats the real thing: I can't even begin to describe how beautiful the scenery was. I want to go back!

Tropical Splendor

Maui is probably one of my favorite places on earth- from the incredible restaurants on Wailea Beach to snorkeling in Lanai, I love every moment! Here are some photos from yesterday...
Wearing a vintage silk embroidered cape that I found at Wasteland, J.Brand shorts, vintage jewelry and glass bead earrings, and Giuseppe wooden platforms.
I love the way the way it drapes!
More photos to come!

Papel Picado

Yesterday was such a beautiful sunny day so I figured it was only appropriate to wear this white lace cut-out dress I found at Shareen.
Wearing Christian Louboutin platforms, Clara swarovksi ring, and vintage Givenchy earrings.
My family and I are leaving for Maui tomorrow morning and I'm so excited! Expect a lot of fun vacation photos soon!

GGotW: What started you on the path to modeling?
RR: At first, I always tried to find an outlet to express my feeling since it was hard for me to speak to people. I grew up watching anime and I got interested in it. I was amazed when I saw cosplaying photos and that lead me to see other models expressing themselves through photography. It influenced me to do the same. I love to experience art in different forms.

GGotW: How would you describe your modeling style?
RR: My style is usually dark and edgy but I always try to do sweet as well.

GGotW: Who in your life really supports you and your endeavors?
RR: I didn't have supporters before I started showing my work. I'm happy and thankful I have gained the supporters I have now.

GGotW: Where do you get your outfits?
RR: I create my outfits myself.

GGotW: In creating your outfits where do you draw your influences?
RR: I'm usually influenced by music artists such as David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, etc.

GGotW: Do you get to work with a lot of different photographers?
RR: Unfortunately, no

GGotW: What photographers do you work with?
RR: I have only modeled once for Quang Le-Huynh. I usually do self-photography.

GGotW: Do you travel much for conventions or modeling?
RR: No, I wish I could

GGotW: What is your favorite anime?
RR: I had a lot of favorite animes; animes such as Trinity Blood and Chobits.

GGotW: So you draw a lot of inspiration from Anime and Cosplay?
RR: No, it was just something that lead me into fashion, photography, and modeling. (:

GGotW: Do you attend anime conventions?
RR: I've been in one once but it was just for fun.

green again

Acne dress, Gap denim jacket, Rachel Comey boots, Karen Walker sunglasses, Fjallraven backpack

I'm surprised I managed to take photos this weekend, my left eye was droopy and swollen from really intense allergies so my sunglasses only came off when they absolutely had to at night. These were taken on the first foggy day we've had in a while but I insisted on refusing to wear tights just one last time. I'm actually proud of my jacked up legs!

I also dyed my hair again. Sometimes I wish I were cool enough to go full gyaru but I figured that the hair dye would be enough. For those of you who were wondering, I used Palty and I did it myself. I also wore orange lipstick (MAC Morange) out for the first time in a while. I keep forgetting I have shades other than my matte nude and red lipsticks...

Daytime Sparkle

I'm not quite sure who said you should only wear sparkly things in the night. I personally rather wear anything sequined or shiny in the day so that the reflection of the sun makes it glisten! This is a vintage 50s top that I've had forever and I love it so much. I wore it yesterday and decided to snap a few photos...
Wearing J.Brand jeans, vintage lucite clutch and copper bracelet, gold bracelets by Taara, and Prada leopard pumps.
Everyone should start wearing more sparkles... they make you feel so happy!
